PEN Y CYMOEDD
ACKNOWLEDGING YOUR AWARD
Acknowledge Your Award
We’re proud to support your project and ideas, using our funding to make the Pen y Cymoedd Area of Benefit a better place to live, work and visit!
Every year we provide funding for communities across the fund area to community organisations and business for a variety of projects.
We ask that you publicly announce your grant and thank Pen y Cymoedd and Vattenfall for their support so that the community know how the fund is being spent and people can be inspired to consider funding for their project.
How to use Welsh to advertise your award
If you are producing materials they should be bilingual with Welsh first and if you need help with this, there are free resources available such as https://businesswales.gov.wales/heloblod/
If you are announcing an award on social media, this should also be produced as 2 posts, Welsh first.
Tell People About Your Award Via Social Media

Displaying our posters, banners etc.
There are a variety of options to advertise the funding that you’ve received from Pen y Cymoedd, these are what we would expect when you advertise your grant:
Displaying banners, posters and stickers
The printed material must be clearly displayed, this means that it should not be covered by another poster or flyer. They must be displayed for the period of time asked, usually 12 months or the duration of your project, this is a minimum requirement. You can keep it up after the discussed period if you would like to, but you must not take the material down in this timeframe. Once the timeframe has ended we will contact you to arrange collection of the banner, hard poster etc. If the banner, poster or sticker is damaged whilst in your possession, you should let us know.
Using our logo and the Vattenfall logo
If you are using the logo’s on your design you must not:
-Distort the logo’s. You can make the logo’s bigger or smaller but do not change the way that the logo’s looks, see example here.
Alter the colour in the logo’s. The colour of the logo’s are the Pen y Cymoedd brand and Vatenfall brand, you should not alter the colour at all.
-Don’t remove the background on the image, it should have a white background. This allows the logo to stand out.
We have posters, temporary banners or permanent signs that we may ask you to display or you can request one here.
